Daniel Bedingfield Single & Album Release

Daniel Bedingfield Single & Album Release
"I could be James Dean / Of the music scene / I could have fly moves / Be a dancefloor dream / But if she can't seem to notice me / Then what's it worth now"

new single 'james dean' - out now
new album 'gotta get through this' - released 23rd September

The distinctive sound of 'James Dean (I Wanna Know)' will come as a huge surprise to those expecting Daniel Bedingfield to follow the garage path that his #1 UK debut single 'Gotta Get Thru This' saw him set out on. The latest track is an addictive combination of dance and pop with a dark feel and a killer hook.

You may have written Daniel off as a bedroom DJ or, worse, a one-hit wonder, but the eclectic sounding 'James Dean' is a sure-fire club hit that packs a lot more intelligence into its three mintues than most manage in a whole album.

And a listen to Daniel's album will banish any doubts over the longevity of the career ahead of him. The album 'Gotta Get Thru This', showcases styles ranging from dance-floor fillers a la Basement Jaxx to classic Jacko-esque 80s disco to it's-okay-to-say-you-like-them ballads of the highest order.

Daniel was recently the subject of one of the hottest battles so far this year for the rights to his publishing. Indeed, to quote the Guardian, Daniel makes "the sort of dizzying dance track the king of pop would have cut off his nose to come back with".

Not bad going for a 22 year old who had to press up white labels of his first single on his own after writing and recording the whole thing in his bedroom. But Daniel clearly prefers to be on top of things, having written and co-produced all of his debut album.

Definitely a case of watch this space, because the name of Daniel Bedingfield will be around for a long time to come. His talent is extraordinary - the success of his music so far is testimony to this and very soon, the world is going to 'wanna know' everything about this new James Dean of the music scene.
