Audience favourite Pierce Brosnan stars as Mike Regan, a successful, self-made man who has it all: a gorgeous wife, a beautiful teenage daughter and a sleek, state-of-the-art 'smart home". His company is on the verge of changing the aviation business forever when his relationship with Ed Porter (Australian James Frecheville), his IT consultant, goes awry. Now Mike finds himself in a high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse that endangers his family, his business…and his life.
Pierce Brosnan is a legendary Irish-American actor, film producer, artist, philanthropist and two-time Golden Globe Award nominee known for his rich and extensive career in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes as a producer. As he read the script for I.T., he immediately said he wanted to star in the film as Mike Regan. 'He doesn't necessarily sell his soul to the devil but he doesn't pay attention and opens the door. And then of course, he has to get him out of his life…which of course sends this character spiraling out of control", says Brosnan about the relationship between his character and Ed Porter.
James Frecheville is probably best known for his breakout performance in David Michod's crime drama Animal Kingdom opposite Guy Pearce and Joel Edgerton, which critics called 'outstanding" and 'a stunner'. The Australian actor plays Ed Porter, an IT consultant who secretly invades Brosnan's life through technology after he terminates his employment. 'Technology doesn't sum up this film as a thriller…it's more about the people and the nature of people with ambition; people having their feelings hurt and not knowing how to deal with those feelings healthily…retaliation and pride and things like that", says Frecheville.
Writer Dan Kay is very happy with the finished film. 'I think Director John Moore crafted a taut and very timely thriller and the cast including Pierce and James really helped bring the story to life"
