One of the world's most creative and innovative chefs, Heston Blumenthal, has featured in a new Coles TV campaign which promotes his decadent and delicious Hidden Orange Christmas Pudding.
The ad shows Heston cutting a slice from his pudding to reveal the whole, hidden candied orange as he tells viewers his Christmas range is not only absolutely delicious, but available exclusively and only at Coles.
Coles Marketing and Store Development Director Simon McDowell said: 'After the phenomenal success of Heston's Christmas range last year, we decided to air the new ads early to remind Australians to get in quick as the puddings won't last long."
'We want viewers to know they can make this Christmas extra special by bringing that little bit of Heston magic into their homes," he said.
Heston's Hidden Orange Pudding took Britain by storm last year for the third year running. Demand was so high they flew off the shelves and were quickly sold out. Shortly afterwards, the puddings were appearing on eBay in the run up to Christmas 2010 for as much as £250 (more than $A400)
At the height of the frenzy, people were queuing for the puddings and physically fighting over them in UK supermarkets.
The Christmas puddings were available in Australia for the first time last year at Coles.
And following their tremendous success, with the range selling out at Coles in just two weeks, two new products, Hidden Sauce Figgy Pudding and Spiced Shortcrust Mince Pies, have been introduced.
Heston's Hidden Orange Pudding, Hidden Clementine Pudding and Mince Pies with Pine Sugar Dusting are available now at Coles. The Hidden Sauce Figgy Pudding and Spiced Shortcrust Mince Pies will be available from November 25th.
The new Heston advertising campaign was created with Coles' advertising agency, Big Red.
