Heinz Launches National Soup Week

There's nothing better than a bowl of piping-hot soup in Winter! As the days get shorter, and the nights get colder, Heinz is warming up Australians with Heinz National Soup Week - June 22-28, launched on the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice.

In what will be an an annual initiative, Heinz National Soup Week will profile the many health benefits associated with eating soup - often referred to as 'nutrition in a bowl' - and promote soup as part of a consumer's daily diet.

Soup is the ideal 'comfort food' to reach for in winter. Soup is not only delicious but is also generally low in fat and rich in vitamins and antioxidants, which may help to fend off winter colds and coughs and keep those winter kilos at bay.

Heinz soups are family favourites, warming up Australia, with its Heinz Very Special soup range and the recently released Heinz Very Vegetable soup range.
