2006 Good Vibrations Festival go on sale to the general public on Friday 18th November

The huge interest in tickets is hardly surprising with the 2006 line-up including Bahamadia, James Brown (Godfather of Soul), The Cuban Brothers (10 Piece), Datarock, DJ Marky feat Stamina MC, Dusted London, Estelle, Talib Kweli, Lady Kier, Malente, Nextmen, Norman Jay MBE, Switch and Z-Trip.

A number of local artists will be travelling to other states including Katalyst, Ru C.L, Groove Terminator*, Sneaky Sound System*, Mark Dynamix and John Course*

The Good Vibrations Festival tours Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth in February of each year, and each event is staged in botanic gardens, parklands and natural amphitheatres.

Bahamadia has performed all over the world and rose to prominence on the Hip Hop scene as the female protégé of Gangstarr's Guru. Widely referred to as the Queen of Hip Hop, Bahamadia is one of the pioneers of this genre. Listen up for her new album, out early next year.

'The Godfather of Soul', James Brown, is one of the most influential figures in 20th century music. He'll be delivering the raw, energetic funk and soul he's famous for (along with the splits), at Good Vibrations Festival 06.

The Cuban Bros are a unique entertainment proposition. Born of the loins of seventies Havana, nurtured on a diet of soulful, sexy tunes and inspired by beat masters from all over the world, they'll return to the stage with their 8 piece band, ready to whip up a frenzy.

Datarock* have achieved a reputation as an incredible live act. They will make their first ever Australian appearance at Good Vibrations following their successful debut album released earlier this year. This album received critical acclaim throughout Europe and with those in the know. Their revolutionary track, "Computer Camp Love" has been on high radio rotation, with its catchy lyrics, taken from 80s pop-culture films. Their latest single, "Fa Fa Fa", is currently ripping up airwaves over the country. They will perform at Brisbane, Melbourne & Sydney shows.

Brazilian Drum&Bass legend, DJ Marky, will return to Australia with longtime MC collaborator MC Stamina, who featured on the mic on Marky's breakthrough hit 'LK'. D&B heads will drop like flies over the news!

DJ Dusted London currently promotes and DJs at two of the most popular club nights in London. He will bring his musical style to Australia - a mixture of funky, bouncing house with a disco flavour which guarantees a good old get down.

To Hip Hop fans, Estelle needs no introduction. She is one of the most respected British Hip Hop artists and one of the most prolific lyricists who has killed every live show. People fall at her feet, her beauty, humility and sense of humour translates through her performance.

Brooklyn rapper Talib Kweli has long been considered one of the most prolific rappers in the game. Kweli grew up recording with school buddy, Mos Def, and is also famously friend and mentor to the hottest, chart topping MC, Kanye West - having given West his first break by taking him on the road. Kweli is true-style Hip Hop, with his lyrical thought being both conscious and crafted.

Lady Kier, best known as the vocalist, lyricist, co-producer and floor shaker for 90s hit group DEEE-LITE, will be playing both a DJ set and no doubt many mental characters. Her style covers an eclectic clash of electro classics, future funk and broken beats. Chuck in a little bit of Jungle, Raga, R'n'B plus Acid House and you'll see that her groove is in the art.

Malente's sound is somewhere between ElectroFunk, ElectroHouse & party-rockin' beats. Expect no pretension, this is straight up party music, thrown down hard and honest. If your sole interest is a sincerely good time, with no pretension, we'll see you on this floor, for sure.

The Nextmen continue to set the world alight. With two successful albums, countless mixed releases, singles, remixes, and the launch of their new own label Custom Records, this brilliant pair continue to up the ante for authentic Hip Hop and eclectic electronic music in general.

Norman Jay is one of the most influential and celebrated DJs of the last decade, as evidenced by the Queen awarding him an MBE. He has played a vital part in many of the pivotal movements in British dance music over the past 20 years, with the Good Times Sound System making London's Notting Hill Carnival what it is today.

After years of forging an emblematic identity as one of Hip Hop's pre-eminent DJs and showmen, Z-Trip is considered to be one of the best live performance DJs ever, both by fans and peers around the world. His current album, Shifting Gears, is killer. 'Nuff said, 'nuff 'spekt.

The Festival has also consistently proved that our home-grown talent is of the highest calibre, and for the very first time, a number of local artists will be travelling to other states. You can't go past the skills of Australian Hip Hop hero Katalyst. His 2002 album, 'Agent Manipulated' became a massive seller and went on to earn Katalyst an ARIA nomination for "Best Dance Artist" and the two most coveted DMA awards; "Best Producer" and "Best Album" at the 2002 Australian Dance Music Awards. On the mic will be RU C.L, aka Rueben Campbell, who's one of the freshest artists to emerge from Australia's thriving urban music scene. Hailing from Melbourne, with a Jamaican/Australian heritage, RU C.L has built up a reputation as one of Australia's most talented MCs. RU delivers a flawless performance, from Hip Hop to Jamaican Dancehall through to soulful R'n'B

Groove Terminator* became one of the first top-flight Australian dance DJs to firmly establish himself as a recording artist in 2000. Two years later and with 3 ARIA nominations Groove Terminator is set to cement his reputation as one of Australia's leading dance artists, with a brilliant follow-up album.

To the uninitiated, Sneaky Sound System* are four party-loving boys renowned for their deep and funky hip shakin' party grooves, crazy live shows, fancy white suits and high-jinks. They are, without a doubt, one of Australia's most popular and sought after music collectives.

With 15 years experience in Australia's music industry, Mark Dynamix certainly knows how to rock a crowd. Mark travels far and wide each weekend, dishing out solid DJ sets for masses of clubbers around the country. Tagged as 'Australia's hardest working DJ' it's no doubt that combined sales of his mixed compilations have reached in excess of 800,000 units
