This month we take a look at FORGIVENESS. Firstly, forgiving yourself and secondly, forgiving others.
A lot of people confuse its meaning by saying that they feel it is a sign of weakness, of giving in either towards ourselves or others. Looking at it from this perspective means we are having a power struggle with ourselves and other people. Behind unforgiveness lurks feelings of anger or fear.
One sure way of freeing yourself from this struggle is to sit with your Guardian Angel, ask them to be with you, choose a quiet place, light a candle, then imagine yourself as a child - with that Guardian ready to speak to you.
Your Guardian Angel is loving, supportive, forgiving and ready to give you advice by sending thought messages to you. Angels are never scornful or critical of you. All you need to try and do is completely trust that they have only your best interests at heart. It is part of that understanding of how the child in you can get into trouble and how your Guardian has the wisdom and insight to help you sort it out.
Your Guardian Angel accepts you unconditionally and never wavers in it's love for you.
Tell your Angel whatever has made you feel guilty or ashamed. As long as you feel honestly sorry for what you have said, thought or done, you are forgiven - but it never hurts to ask. Once you have finished, ask your Angel for guidance. Sit back and relax and allow your Guardian Angel to send their loving thought messages to you on how to overcome your problems. It's just like a loving parent would guide their child.
You have a power within you, to tune in to your higher self, whom has peace, love, tranquillity, patience, happiness and forgiveness if you really want to tap into it. All you have to do is ask and trust. Trust those good loving thought messages and thank your Guardian Angel.
This is simply the exercise you take to listen to your inner source of love and forgiveness. You have the power to free yourself of all your guilt and feelings of anger. Keep the messages you have been given (write them down if you'd prefer), to refer to in future meditations.
Remember to be patient with yourself. Patience is a form of self forgiveness because you are acknowledging that it takes time to change.
