Fire in My Soul

Fire in My Soul

James Salisbury is a distance runner, one of the best the Hill District has ever seen.

But James has a problem with choking in important races - he lets the pressure get to him. James trains for the state titles as though his life depends on it, pushing himself harder and harder on the unforgiving bush tracks. This time he'll win that gold medal. His only treat is himself.

Then a new boy joins the athletics club, James isn't worried; the kid hardly looks like a runner. But Gavin and his father are cheats who don't consider losing an option.

A series of bushfires started by a firebug make training in the bush risky, but when a blaze threatens James' family home, he realizes that more than his running career is at stake. If the firebug is not found soon his credibility, the state titles, his home and his life are at risk.
