Fear, Phobias and Frozen Feet is a great book that deals with patterns of abusive relationships that some of us have in our lives. It also gives a clear understanding of the victim/rescuer game, and how we let our fears take over and rule our lives. Sometimes, we let our fears stop us from ever reaching our true potential.
A large part of the book is based on Cindy's own experiences, and shehas also used other people's real life experiences as well. I foundthat I could identify with many of the scenarios Cindy wrote about, asmany of them had happened to me. It was good to see that other peoplealso went through what I went through, and managed to get out of a badrelationship, and even go so far as to write a book about it. Thebook is filled with many red flags and checklists to help you identifywhat role you are playing in the victim/rescuer game and whether ornot you are in an abusive relationship. Another great aspect aboutthe book, is that it actually gives valuable advice on how to changeyourself, your attitude and how to rid yourself of fear. What Iespecially liked, were the places put in the book for you to writeyour goals, dreams, affirmations etc. I always lose little pieces ofpaper, and it was good to be able to write them in the book so I canrefer back to them from time to time.
On the whole this book was very easy to read. It didn't use any ofthe big words that most of us don't understand and all the advice andtips given were sound and not the type that look good in theory butdon't work in practice. In the past I have found it difficult to readself-help books as they always got too technical, but this book justcut to the chase and held my attention to the end.
I highly recommend this book, as I took the time to sit down andcomplete all the charts and it really has helped me to identify myfears and problem areas in my life, change bad patterns, like myselfagain and move on with my life. I am sure it will have a positiveimpact on your life as well. You can buy it from the digitalbookstore at www.instabook.net
