Dear Angel Lady
Close Encounters With Angels
They talk about their imaginary friends and seem to know what you are thinking about without a word being spoken. Some even say they can feel a deceased relative around them, frightening their parents and other relatives.
Children with a strong sixth sense, sometimes called psychic children or angel children, often experience many paranormal and spiritual phenomena.
Jacky Newcomb, bestselling author and known as 'The Angel Lady', receives thousands of letters and emails each year from parents wanting to share their child's experiences with the 'other-side', and from people who pose questions about angels and the afterlife. Jacky has collected many of these amazing stories together in her new book, Dear Angel Lady, alongside details of her own most recent angelic and afterlife encounters.
Jacky Newcomb Jackie's own interest in angels was ignited by a life-saving encounter as a small child. Getting into difficulty in the sea on a family holiday at just five years of age she heard the voice of an angel who offered her the chance to live…or to die. Jacky chose life and soon found herself back safely on the shore. Jacky watched a TV program about angels many years later and the once forgotten childhood experience was recalled.
She has studied the phenomena of angels and afterlife for many years talking with scientists, doctors and counsellors, reading and interviewing thousands about their own personal experiences and having her own experiences of angels and the afterlife (in fact her three angels, her father, father-in-law and uncle still visit her). So to anyone who doubts their existence her answer is simple: 'It's real'

Interview with Jacky Newcomb for Dear Angel Lady
What should readers expect from Dear Angel Lady?
Jacky Newcomb: Readers from all over the world, visitors to my website and readers of my magazine articles send me questions about their angels and afterlife experiences. Whilst I happily send off replies to each and every one it takes a good deal of time. It made a lot of sense, therefore, to create a book with the most often asked questions and to answer them at length in Dear Angel Lady; everything together in one book.
I wanted the book to be as interesting to read as it was to write so I have also included many reader's real life experiences which also help to illustrate the questions. Many of my readers will pick the book up and read it right through in one sitting but I've split the book up into lots of different sections so that it also double's up as a reference book. I hope it will be one that people refer to over and over again.
How does your book explain the experiences of angels and the afterlife?
Jacky Newcomb: I always like to use real stories to illustrate my work as much as possible. It's easier for the reader to relate to and understand. I'm very down-to-earth in my approach and everything I explain is based on either my own experiences of those of others. Although much of my work is anecdotal I do also include current research and scientific explanations where appropriate.
Angels do appear in many of these narratives but each person describes an angel in a different way. For some the angel will be a being of light and for others their angel is their deceased grandparent. Each experiences is magical in it's own right so I write about them all and my readers can decide on their own definition.
Where did the name 'The Angel Lady' come from?
Jacky Newcomb: I have a magazine column here in the UK and it's based on the questions I get asked by my readers. For many years my column was called 'Dear Angel Lady'...and that is how readers wrote to me...'Dear Angel Lady I have a question for you...
As time has moved on, more and more readers started to write to me using my read name so it's only recently that my column has been changed to 'Dear Jacky'. Maybe that's the name for a future book?
What is the strong sixth sense children possess that you refer too?
Jacky Newcomb: Thousands of readers started to write and share psychic and paranormal experiences they'd witnessed with their children. For years it was all about angels but then suddenly the post bag changed, I initially set up a 'Psychic Children' forum (at Yahoo) which still exists today. At first I didn't have any experience about how to help these parents so at least this way they could communicate with each other about how to live with and deal with psychic children.
Over time I started to discover more and more. Children would pass messages to me through their parents. One little girl described heaven for me. She told me it was 'pretty sparkle'. Another little boy told me (through his mother) how he remembered a life (in heaven) before he was born, and how a friend of his is part of his soul group.
Many children understood very complicated spiritual concepts but could explain them in very simple ways. They are grounded, loving, kind and sensitive. Stories were many and varied but the children themselves either had psychic ability or paranormal phenomenon happened around them.
How can you explain the sixth sense children have? How does your book explore this?
Jacky Newcomb: My book 'Angel Kids' was created as a result of my growing expertise and like all my other books is illustrated with real life stories. Some children seemed able to communicate with deceased relatives; others could talk to angels and spirits. One of the most disturbing of abilities was children who could read their parents minds (telepathy) ...sometimes private thoughts!
I've discovered youngsters who appear to have healing abilities or can move objects with their minds. Yet others talk about past lives or times when they lived on other planets...and are even in regular communication with alien beings. It sounds crazy but to these families this phenomenon is normal....although a little disturbing at first.
'Angel Kids' is also a book of solutions and suggestions and I was given a lot of help from the parents of psychic children themselves. As a group we'd try out different techniques (for example, ways of getting your child to sleep at night when they are being awoken by spirits who 'just want to play!')
My internet group 'Psychic Children' is still going strong but I also have a brand new website full of information, free articles and useful links:
