'We are noticing lately that both the corporate and leisure markets are preferring smaller bespoke dining experiences to entertain their guests, whether it's for a private special occasion or an important business meeting", says Mark Holmes, Crown Melbourne's Executive General Manager of Food & Beverage. In 2015, private dining bookings at Crown Melbourne increased by 18% from the previous year.

In response to the increased demand for private dining options, Crown has added beautifully designed spaces along with sumptuous new menus which include everything from Heston Blumenthal's famous meat fruit and Nobu's signature Japanese delicacies, to world class teppanyaki at Koko and French favourites at Bistro Guillaume.

Nobu Melbourne

Renowned for innovative Japanese fusion, guests at Nobu's private dining room will be treated to an ambience of refined elegance complete with a striking overhead artwork and a selection of menus that perfectly showcase Nobu's signature Japanese cuisine. Nobu's private dining room can be reserved for an intimate gathering of four up to a maximum of 12 people.

Silks

Silks offers diners a selection of five elegant private dining rooms, which cater for a minimum of six and up to 24 guests, including a strikingly beautiful Mongolian tent along with four other rooms which each boast views of the Yarra River and are decorated with Chinese inspired tapestries and woodcarvings. Private dining guests at Silks will be treated to the restaurants' award winning traditional Cantonese cuisine along with dedicated and attentive table service. 

Mr Hive Kitchen & Bar

Each of the three private dining rooms at Mr Hive Kitchen & Bar exude the restaurants' warm, rustic ambience. The first room is situated near the dessert bar and offers an inviting setting with beautiful wicker screening and seating for a maximum of 12 guests (minimum of six). Perfect for larger events, the exclusive dining area towards the back of Mr Hive can be transformed with tables for up to 100 people for a seated or cocktail style function.

Koko

Each of Koko's five private dining rooms radiates the serene ambience of the restaurant, with its tranquil Japanese water garden, created by internationally renowned designer Tony Chi. Private diners can select from four teppanyaki rooms and one a la carte room, which cater for a minimum of six and a maximum of 30 guests. Koko's teppanyaki chefs will prepare fine Japanese cuisine in front of guests, bringing a touch of theatre and excitement to private functions. An extensive range of aged and exclusive sake from Australia and Japan is also available.

Bistro Guillaume

For a truly exquisite private event, Bistro Guillaume offers a range of stunning spaces and indulgent menus. Bistro Guillaume's broad range of private dining menus range from two and three course options featuring traditional French favourites to a -Bistro shared' menu as well as tantalizing canape packages.

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

Out of the ordinary and intimate at the same time, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal's private dining room can be sectioned off for complete privacy or left open and is perfect for groups of up to 10 guests. Complete with vast windows soaking up the sweeping views across the Yarra River and Melbourne's CBD and a glass wall which frames the kitchen as the chefs prepare each dish with skill and flair, the space is the perfect venue for a truly memorable private function and offers private diners a selection of four signature Heston Blumenthal menus to choose from.
