Reunaway hit original series, Covert Affairs, stars Golden Globe nominated Piper Perabo as Annie Walker, a young CIA operative whose exceptional linguisitc skills (she is able to speak six languages) and spot on instincts make her invaluable to the Agency.
In season two, Annie's personal and professional lives crash into one another when she goes on a mission to arrest her ex-boyfriend. She is also instructed to carry out top-secret assignments around the globe by boss Arthur Campbell, where trouble always seems to be hot on her tail; from risky assignments exchanging an FBI prisoner in Argentina, to flying to Mexico with colleague Joan as undercover members of a news team, life never stops for this young agent.
Even whilst holidaying in Stockholm with older sister Danielle, Annie is asked to courier a package to a gala for the CIA, but it soon becomes clear that the mission has put both women's lives at risk.
Exciting, suspenseful and captivating - this is not your original drama series in more ways than one. As well as packing in more action, emotional drama and interesting plots, the episode titles themselves could act as a musical trivia, with each title matching song titles by American rock band R.E.M:
Begin the Begin, Good Advices, Bang and Blame, All the Right Friends, Around the Sun, The Outsiders, Half a World Away, Welcome to the Occupation, Sad Professor, World Leader Pretend, The Wake-Up Bomb, Uberlin, A Girl Like You, Horse to Water, What's the Frequency, Kenneth? and Letter Never Sent.
