Becky Wicks got one of those 'media' degrees at Lincoln University, but had been writing freelance from the age of 14. Later, in New York City she worked as a jello-shot waitress, wrote for a restaurant guide and dated the editor of a Brooklyn magazine. In London, from 2004, she worked for a travel and entertainment dot com, moved to Dubai in 2007, and now lives in Sydney - in Bondi, with all the other Brits.
