Ariane Goldet, judge from marie claire France, had the following to say about the winning look: "The colour is worked with subtlety and elegance. The cut is energetic and the short hairstyle is updated with a feminine touch; a true fashion image."

Expanding on the story behind the winning look, Vickie and Kelly said: "Our inspiration came from wanting to create something to suit modern day living, easy maintenance, minimum time and effort. Audrey has a versatile soft sexy look that could also be dressed with more aggressive editorial feel."

With an award that focuses on the importance of colour, the pair chose to use "the chocolate and toffee colours that complement Audrey's skin tone while accentuating texture and movement." The resulting look is strong while still sexy and feminine.

The winning look for BIBA was a celebration of soft curls, subtle colour and the encouragement of natural texture. Shoulder length brunette hair with warm, golden highlights has been used to create a casual, glossy, sexy look for guys.
The looks created by all four finalists sees men's hair moving towards longer styles, with fringes popular. Masculine, modern and funky was the overall trend with a pervasive rock' n 'roll undertone.
