Prince Alfred Park in Sydney's west will be a site to behold on Tuesday, as hundreds of people dressed in fairy costumes gather to be part of history and raise money to help grant Christmas wishes for seriously ill children.

Australia's largest online department store, DealsDirect.com.au, is staging a Guinness World Record attempt at Prince Alfred Park in Parramatta at 8am on Tuesday November 30th, to raise funds for the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Crowds of people including customers and staff from DealsDirect.com.au, will be dressed in fairy wings, tutus and carrying fairy wands are expected to join the charge to break the Guinness World Record™ for the World's Largest Ever Gathering of Christmas Fairies.

The event is expected to raise $10,000 to help grant Starlight Wishes to seriously ill children. DealsDirect.com.au will pledge $5000, while participants on the day will contribute to the cause with gold coin donations.
