World War Z Review

World War Z

Cast: Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, David Morse
Director: Marc Forster
Genre: Action, Drama, Horror

Synopsis: A UN representative, writing a report on the great zombie war, interviews survivors in the wake of World War Z.

Verdict: As a zombie and general apocalypse enthusiast, I've always thought I'd be well prepared if a zombie situation were to arise. When I started to see the trailers for World War Z I began to feel very unprepared.

If you are like me, you know there are various types of zombies, the main distinction is fast vs. slow and one of the most terrifying things about these World War Z zombies is they are a whole new brand of fast and add to that, the fact that after being bitten you have 12 seconds before you become a zombie… This is a rapidly spreading epidemic that the highest of walls can't keep out, and Gerry has to find out how, to save the world, and get back to his family.

Brad Pitt is Gerry, the main man, with a beautiful family and beautiful hair… Gerry is an ex-UN-military man, who quit his job to spend time with his family. When all hell breaks loose the Government convinces Gerry to be the bodyguard and guide for an extremely talented and young bio-chemist who has been dubbed the -world's only hope'. Together they try to find the first infected person and their location to source what caused the chaos but like all good movies, things don't go to plan…

The film has numerous fight and escape scenes that had myself and most of the theatre exhaling with relief, together, at brief moments of calm.

If you love zombie/apocalypse films in general or epic big production craziness and of course Brad Pitt, World War Z is for you!

I highly recommend seeing World War Z in 3D and not only because it felt like Brad Pitt was in the cinema with me, it really adds suspense and shock to the whole storyline, to the point my partner was scared I would break his hand, if I squeezed any tighter.

Don't see this movie if you hate thrillers, horror, gore or are generally a scaredy cat.
