Over the election weekend, Australians from across the nation are being asked to go without to raise money and awareness for global poverty.
World Vision is urging Australian's to register to take part in this years' 40 Hour Famine from 20 – 22 August 2010.
In its 35th year the event continues to be one of Australia's largest youth engagement activities with over 300,000 people expected to take part.
In 2010 the 40 Hour Famine focuses on highlighting the Global Food Crisis which is currently affecting over one billion people across 30 countries.
Participants are urged to give up something important to them for 40 hours gaining support from friends, colleagues and family.
