The aim of World Picnic Day is to build awareness of the Parklands Foundation with a fun family event that offers, activities for the young and old, music and dancing, roving entertainment, arts & crafts and kite making, old fashion family picnic games like the three legged race and sack jumping competitions, railway heritage discovery tours, jumping castles and tons more! Try your hand at different sports within the parklands, from Soccer Fit to Oztag or maybe some circus tricks.

World Picnic Day is a fun day for families to come together and enjoy the parklands at Sydney Olympic Park and for everyone - families, kids, walkers, joggers and local residents - to discover the diverse parklands of Sydney Olympic Park from the Ring Walk to the wetlands to the playgrounds of Wentworth Common.
