Why Him?

Cast: James Franco, Bryan Cranston, Zoey Deutch
Director: John Hamburg
Genre: Comedy
Rated: MA

Synopsis: A dad forms a bitter rivalry with his daughter's young rich boyfriend.

Review: This movie is about a very overprotective father Ned (Bryan Cranston) who travels to California, with the family, to visit his only daughter, Stephanie, (Zoey Deutch) who is currently attending Stanford University. He soon learns he has to come to term with the fact that Stephanie has a boyfriend and all that it entails.

This movie was a non-stop roller-coaster of embarrassing and cringe-worthy moments, the role of Laird, the boyfriend (James Franco) was executed, so well, that you really felt awkward and uncomfortable through each and every scene.

Why Him? is fantastic start to finish espeically as I arrived at the cinema expecting to watch another teenage boy flick and ended up watching a very cringe worthy yet feel good film.

When watching this film expect to see lots of toilet humour, adult themes, drunkenness and lots of swearing but it is executed in the worst possible way to make you feel uncomfortable for all the characters involved.

I would rate this 9/10 for any fans of extremely cringe worthy films.
