In the lead up to Father's Day, Sunday 4 September, White Ribbon has announced the 2011 Ambassador of the Year Finalists. These Ambassadors represent a diverse community and are recognised as leading male role models in the campaign to stop violence against women.

From developing safe havens in which men can learn how to stop the cycle of violence to working with local rugby players, the 2011 Ambassador of the Year Finalists represent a growing trend of Australian men who are driving violence prevention initiatives in their communities.

The 2011 Ambassador of the Year will be announced just prior to Father's Day at the annual White Tie Gala Dinner at Sydney Town Hall on Thursday, 1 September 2011.
