Welcome the Year of the Sheep with Sydney Fish Market

Sydney Fish Market won't be sheepish about Chinese New Year celebrations this year. With the banging of drums and clashing of cymbals, it's time to ring in the Year of the Sheep in traditional festive style.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, Thursday, 19 February 2015, shoppers at Sydney Fish Market will be entertained by traditional lion dancers performing on-site from 12pm – 2pm. The dancers will play drums and cymbals to ward off evil spirits as they visit retailers and bestow each store with good luck and prosperity for the coming year.
