Walk to Save Our Sons

Join us at Queen Victoria Market Shed A on Tuesday March 21st at 7.15am  to cheer on father and founder of Save Our Sons, Elie Eid and the walkers as they embark on their arduous 300-kilometre walk around the Bay of Melbourne, to help raise awareness and funding for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

On the morning a delicious BBQ breakfast will be available for a gold coin donation to the charity while child-friendly activities such as face painting, jumping castle and balloons will be accompanied by a mini fitness work out, raffles and giveaways!

For part of the way on his 11-day journey, Elie – accompanied by celebrities and supporters - will be pushing in a wheelchair his 12-year-old son Emilio, who was diagnosed with Duchenne in 2006.

A severe muscle-wasting condition, Duchenne affects one in 3500 boys. It is the number one genetic killer of young boys worldwide and affects girls in rare cases. To date, Duchenne has no cure and no one survives.
