Walk for Prems

Walk for Prems

It's Life's Little Treasures Foundation's 7th year hosting Walk for Prems on Sunday 23 October, which is Australia's largest national event bringing awareness and recognition to babies born premature and sick and their families. Each October, children, parents, grandparents, extended families, friends (and some dogs!!) of all ages and backgrounds come together to Walk for Prems.

This year Life's Little Treasures Foundation is thrilled to announce that Walk for Prems will be presented by Baby Bunting. A well-loved, and well-known Australian retailer of baby goods for over 30 years, Life's Little Treasures Foundation is proud of this exciting partnership and takes this opportunity to thank Baby Bunting for its support.

Shusannah Morris, co-founder and CEO of Life's Little Treasures Foundation said
"Money raised from our annual Walk for Prems event ensures we can continue to provide support, education and understanding to families in need, free of charge. Without government funding, it is only through the generous support of the Australian community that Life's Little Treasures Foundation can be there for these families as they face an emotional and uncertain journey".

Fast Facts:
Now in its 7th year Walk for Prems is held annually in October,
Held at 7 locations around Australia; Adelaide, Brisbane, Campbell Town (Tas), Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Each location provides a beautiful setting where, people not only do their part to support premature and sick babies by completing the walk but also enjoy the free children's entertainment, relax with a picnic and socialise with other families,
Each year over 48,000 babies are admitted into neonatal intensive and special care units in Australia. Their parents and families need support during this emotional and uncertain journey they face,
Every dollar raised counts; Just $10 means Life's Little Treasures Foundation can provide one more family with a free copy of A Guiding Hand, essential information for any family who finds themselves in the unknown world of a neonatal intensive care unit or special care nursery.
