Rough, ritzy and bursting with character, Opera Australia's famous La Dolce Vita style production of Verdi's Rigoletto returns to Melbourne for the first time in nearly a decade. This classic production, originally created by Elijah Moshinsky, stars Michael Lewis as Rigoletto, now in his 30th year of performing this career-defining role. Joining him are Rosario La Spina as the Duke of Mantua, and Emma Matthews and Natalie Jones sharing the role of Gilda. It is conducted by Orchestra Victoria's principal guest conductor, Marko Letonja.
