*Valentines Makeover*

Classic Valentines Look for Romantic Daytime Makeover

If you like your makeup routine to be simple, yet classically understated, then this romantically chic look is for you!

Base: Keep foundation light and minimal, by applying concealer first. Apply your concealer only where you need it - like, under your eyes and to cover any blemishes. Mix a little moisturiser into a full coverage base, or use a liquid foundation on your t-zone, eyelids, and anywhere you need to even out skintone. Finish with a light dusting of translucent powder.

Eye makeup: Neaten brows, filling in any gaps with a natural shade of eyebrow pencil. Using your finger, apply a creamy colour (like M.A.C Cream Colour Base), on your eyes + cheeks to give your skin that soft shimmering, heavenly glow.
Bronze makes a gorgeous base for a sexy daytime look. If you want to bring your eyes out more, smear a touch of Stila Eye Glaze (like Honey) on your lid gives subtle highlights. For long lasting eyes, use translucent powder or eyeshadow in a similar colour to set your cream colour, then apply two light coats of dark brown mascara.

Lips: Apply lip pencil a shade or two deeper than the natural colour of your lips. Add a delicious Stila Lip Glaze in an alluring rosy stain over top, like Grape (plum) or Raspberry (soft fuchsia).

Sultry Valentines Evening Makeover

Take your alluring day look into night, by adding a few special touches! Feature focus your most expressive feature, with divinely smoky eyes. Bring out your eyes in a sultry avant-garde way, for this dramatic Valentines-eve Makeover.

Base:
Apply luminous foundation as a highlight, on the top of your cheekbones, above eyebrows, (and if your skin is not too oily, then a touch on the bridge of your nose and the ball of your chin), with a brush or a sponge, and blend with your fingertips.

Reapply your cream colour base into your cheeks as blush, and finish with a light dab of translucent powder on your forehead, nose and chin.

Eyes:
Apply a deep copper metallic brown (softer look) or a metallic black (added wicked element :) liner along your top and bottom lashlines (I've used a pencil here, but Nars waterproof liquid liner in Silkwood is equally stunning). Smudge slightly for a superbly scorchingly look.

Add a touch more Bronze cream colour base all over your lid, as this makes a great base for long-wearing eye makeup, then apply M.A.C Iridescent Powder (a highly concentrated loose powder) - use sheerly, for a gorgeous lustrous effect, in a shade like Golden Bronze (a shimmering soft pinky-bronze) to highlight and brighten the inner corner of your lid.

For the ultimate smouldering eyes, use M.A.C brush #219 pencil to smudge a golden bronze shadow along your bottom lashes.

For maximum drama, curl your lashes, or apply a couple of individual false lashes on the outer edge of your top lashes, and another coat or two of mascara.

Lips:
Apply, blot, and reapply M.A.C lipstick Crème de la Femme - a delicious pink stain that shimmers gold, over a neutral pink lip pencil. For the ultimate in our romantic femme fatale finale, press a high shine lipgloss into the centre of your lips with a lip brush.
