Sydney's emerging performers will showcase fresh, experimental performance in a new work called Unsettlings at PACT centre for emerging artists in Erskineville.

Twelve young artists in their early twenties are on the verge of completing PACT's Ensemble Program. Providing a unique opportunity for a group of emerging artists to engage with leading established practitioners, the program allows students to develop their skills as inter-disciplinary and experimental contemporary performance makers.

PACT Artistic Director Cat Jones says, "Successful applicants of the Ensemble program are given the opportunity to undertake professional and creative development and the guided creative development of a new work. The program includes physical and vocal training with professional artists culminating in a three week performance at PACT."

Featuring all twelve members of the Ensemble, their performance Unsettlings has been developed under the guidance of Cat and PACT's Associate Director Julie Vulcan. The Ensemble has undertaken dedicated sessions to develop and produce Unsettlings. These sessions were then complemented by intensive movement training with Chris Ryan and vocal training with Sophie Martin.
