Well know as an on-screen & stand up comedian, this A-list actor captivated our hearts with movies like; Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Hook, Aladdin, Mrs Doubtfire, Jumanji, The Birdcage, Good Will Hunting, Patch Adams, Bicentennial Man, A.I., One Hour Photo, Robots, Licence to Wed, Night at the Museum and Happy Feet franchises.
A shy child, he often referred to himself as being overweight with nobody wanting to play with him. So he started entertaining himself by talking in different voices.
Robin Williams briefly studied political science, before enrolling at Juilliard School to study theatre.
Robin Williams was performing in night clubs when he was discovered for a role in an episode of TV series Happy Days in 1974 and later for TV series Mork and Mindy in 1978. His fun and infectious comedy style as alien Mork in the TV series Mork and Mindy (1978 to 1982) made him a household name. But this was just the begining as he increased his fame with stand up comedy.
Full of life, Robin Williams brought joy to the screen with his youthful energy and humor making a lasting impression. He will be forever remembered as one of the most creative souls, that left us too soon.
