The Wind in the Willows

Direct from portraying an indigenous solder in the powerful and critically acclaimed Black Diggers, Queensland stage star Luke Carroll is about to don a hat (and whiskers) of a very different kind when he plays not one but four, four-legged creatures in La Boite Theatre Company's brand new, one man re-imagination of The Wind in the Willows.

Featuring a magical set with plenty of surprises throughout, and playful costuming and props, The Wind in the Willows will take Brisbane's badgers (small and large) on a heartfelt and humorous adventure that explores humanity, time and the value of friendship these summer school holidays.

Kenneth Grahame's rollicking tale of four woodland creatures, all set to be portrayed by the talented Carroll, has been given a fresh update for Brisbane audiences by the award winning writer/director team of Maxine Mellor (previous winner Queensland Premier's Drama Award)) and Kat Henry.

Ideal for children aged four to 12 - and anyone who enjoys messing about in boats for that matter - The Wind in the Willows is a fantastic, larger than life adventure with Ratty, Mole, Badger and the incorrigible Mr Toad around the river, the Wild Woods and beyond.

School Holiday Workshops: La Boite Theatre Company is also offering 2-day school holiday workshops for The Wind in the Willows from January 13 for children aged six to 12. These workshops foster the development of performance skills in an exciting, interactive and hands-on environment.
