FALL IN LOVE WITH OLD FASHIONED ROMANCE AT THETEA ROOM GUNNERS BARRACKS THIS VALENTINES DAY

This Valentines Day, The Tea Room Gunners Barracks will open its doors after dark, allowing courting couples to dine via candlelight in one of the most spectacular restaurant settings in Sydney.

One of Sydneys most impressive lunch venues, The Tea Room Gunners Barracks is normally closed in the evening for functions. But this February 14th, for the first time ever, the venue will open to the public for dinner, offering a spectacular three-course menu matched with Australian and New Zealand wines.

Tucked away in bushland at Georges Head, Mosman and offering unobstructed views of Sydney Harbour, guests can enjoy their Valentines Day dinner under crystal chandeliers in the romantic dining room, or alfresco on the harbour deck, while toasting their romance with a glass of French sparkling wineand an amuse-bouche on arrival.

The three course menu, created by Head Chef Marc Philpott, offers guests the choice of one of four dishes per course, each matched with a complementary wine. Entrees include half shell scallops with green mango, macadamia, chilli and Vietnamese mint and lobster ravioli with tomato and tarragon butter sauce.

Mains on offer include pan fried mulloway with cauliflower and coconut puree and salt and pepper prawns and grilled fillet of beef with braised ox cheek, parsley risotto, pencil leeks and horseradish cream.

Towards the end of the evening, hearts and tastebuds will soar with a delectable selection of desserts including Valrhona chocolate tart with peanutbutter ice cream and basil pannacotta with strawberry sorbet and sablé biscuit.
