The Rumjacks appearing at Bigsound 2015

Sydney folk-punk band The Rumjacks, fresh from a hugely successful debut overseas tour, is primed to return to Australia next month for an exclusive one-off performance at Bigsound Live.

The band is currently blitzing the UK/European touring circuit, hitting Germany and Denmark this week for live shows in support of their second album, -Sober & Godless'.  They've already played to more than 50,000 fans in the Northern Hemisphere over the last three months with a series of sold out shows and headline performances.

Such is The Rumjacks' international reach that they're now ranked as #4 band on Spotify outside of Australia, and the music video for their track -An Irish Pub Song' has hit 11.4 million views on YouTube.

The new album -Sober & Godless', produced by Steve James (Thin Lizzy, The Jam, The Screaming Jets), has spawned two singles, -Blows & Unkind Words' and -Plenty'.  It took the band right across Australia on tour earlier this year, gigging from Brisbane to Ballarat to Bunbury and everywhere in between!

Lead singer Frankie McLaughlin said today, "Europe has been so ridiculously good to us on this tour that I fear if we don't leave soon, we'll be spoiled rotten & lose our edge. Bigsound is one hell of a reason to come home and we're looking very much forward to it,.. see you soon Australia!".
