The Robinsons

The Robinsons

"Here's a treat: a British sitcom that is dry, wry, chock-full of great character actors and further enlivened by the odd absurdist touch… The set-up sound reminiscent of the US comedy Arrested Development, but it's much better and less self-conscious- partly because Freeman's perplexed Ed can't help but be endearing." Guardian.

Martin Freeman (The Office, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and Huge Bonneville (Tipping The Velvert, Iris) head an all-star cast in a brand-new comedy series from the creators of The Worst Week of my Life. The Robinsons aren't related to any of the famous Robinsons: the family lost in space, Sugar Ray- or even Smokey. No, they're a bog-standard, run-of-the-mill family from Wimbledon, South London who have done 'quite well'. Pam, Hector and their grown-up children - George (Bonneville), Ed (Freeman) and Vicky (Abigail Cruttenden)- are a typically dysfunctional modern family. According to everyone, Ed is the black sheep of the family. He is 32, recently divorced after a five-and-a-half-month marriage, doing a job that he hates and living in his aunt's housing estate flat. What has gone wrong in his life? How difficult is it to find a girlfriend, a decent job, a good dry cleaner and uncover the meaning of life?

George, Ed's older brother, is married to Maggie. He is a no-nonsense time- management consultant and his mantra is: Organisation, Organisation, Organisation! Ed's sister, Vicky, is a perfectionist and an interior designer, struggling to find Mr. Right- until she meets Peter, a fellow perfectionist. But cracks begin to show when Vicky discovers his horrible secret: Peter doesn't like Fawlty Towers.

Special Features include Behind-the-Scenes, Out-takes and Audio Commentaries.
