The Message is a free all day hip hop event presented by The Push and City of Melbourne supported by the Melbourne Hip Hop Network (Moonee Valley City Council, Youth Unlimited, Doutta Gala Community Health Service and the Arts Centre Dig Deep Project), which will bring together Melbourne's diverse hip hop community to showcase the current scene.

The Message is the first of its kind in Melbourne and will showcase both the findings of three hip hop forums which were undertaken in October and November 2010, as well as live performances in all areas of hip hop including djs/live acts, mcs, hip hop dance crews and much more!

The November 20 line up will include live music from the Dig Deep Collective, Massive Hip Hop Choir, Group 120, Jungle City, local DJ MzRizk, Darebin's young female DJ team: Believe in the Beat DJs, young African hip hop duo and FReeZACentral 2010 mentoring program graduates Flybz, hip hop dance ensembles Double Cross Krew and A2D, our fave local hip hop MC and host Yung Philly, plus a freestyle MC cipher and dance jam that you can get involved in!
