The Melbourne Good Food & Wine Show

The Good Food & Wine Show (GFWS) presented by Citi is back bigger than ever for 2017 with brand new features, experiences,
masterclasses and hundreds of first-time exhibitors showcasing products never seen before.

With the event launching in Melbourne on 2 June, followed by Sydney, Perth and Brisbane, GFWS visitors will experience true immersion in all things food and wine, from meandering through the rustic Gourmet Village packed with premium artisan producers (new in 2017), to engaging with Australia's favourite celebrity chef's while they share their tips and tricks live on stage. And, for those who prefer a more interactive, hands-on experience, there are heaps of food and wine masterclasses on offer from free wine tasting classes,
get-your-hands-dirty pizza making, to cheese and wine matching.

In addition to the expansion of regional producers, the celebrity chef line-up in Melbourne is a major drawcard, with appearances from Manu Feildel, Miguel Maestre, Matt Moran, Matt Wilkinson, Matt Stone, Marion Grasby and more! The new Chef's Lunch series, presented by the Citibank Dining Program, presents a once-in-a-lifetime experience for visitors to enjoy an intimate three course meal hosted by the celebrity chefs themselves, matched with premium wine and live music.

Other exciting debuts include the -Taittinger Lounge and Oyster Bar', where freshly shucked oysters are best served with indulgent
Champagne. Here, guests can pause and relax over a glass of Champagne or, for a more prolonged experience, opt for a decadently
delicious High Tea. For those who want to explore their palate and try new flavours and varietals (for free!), the Riedel Drinks Lab,
in conjunction with Spiegelau, will showcase the best wines from the Show floor and offer complimentary tastings and classes
– all served in Riedel signature glassware.

The masterclass offering has also expanded to feature the Smelly Cheese Club where the pong says it all…

And for those with a sweet tooth, the naughty (but very nice) chocolate masterclass is a must.

Another first for 2017 is -EAT' presented by the Citibank Dining Program. EAT is a dining precinct where all visitors to the show can
experience food and wine from Citi's dining partner restaurants. Visitors will be able to sit back and enjoy a unique dining experience,
complete with hand-picked wine in a social and vibrant atmosphere.

The Cape Mentelle VIP Lounge will offer wine lovers an exclusive and luxurious experience; VIP ticketholders can enjoy unlimited drinks from Cape Mentelle alongside a delicious meal, whilst catching all the action at the Good Food Theatre from the comfort of the lounge.
A returning favourite, the renowned Good Food Theatre is a 500-capacity seated theatre where guests can watch, learn and be inspired
by leading chefs cooking live on stage. Cheese Alley also makes a comeback, showcasing the best in Australian dairy.

The above represents a mere snapshot of what's on offer at this year's Good Food & Wine Show. From discovering new products,
ingredients and cooking ideas, to learning tips and tricks from some of Australia's most revered chefs, visitors to this year's event
are sure to leave feeling inspired to embark on their next culinary adventure.
