Synopsis: The Guard is a comedic fish-out-of-water tale of murder, blackmail, drug trafficking and rural police corruption. Two policemen must join forces to take on an international drug smuggling gang - one, an unorthodox Irish policeman and the other, a straitlaced FBI agent.

Verdict: The Guard is an action-packed, entertaining film with lots of laughs and is intentionally sarcastic with typical, dry humour (think Hot Fuzz). This is the type of movie that you quote lines from, in everyday life, for years to come. Whilst The Guard is suitable for both male and female audiences, it does contain a lot of profanities.
Overall, it's nothing less than 'awesome'.
