The Melbourne Comedy Festival invites comedy lovers to sign up for the
ultimate challenge for comedy crazies. The Funny Tonne is a race to see
how far three die-hard fans will go to see the most shows in the Comedy
Festival and win the 2011 Funny Tonne title. Whose belly will be big enough
to devour the most laughs?

With over 350 shows in the 2011 Melbourne International Comedy
Festival, the Funny Tonners will be warming up their laughing gear and
stretching the stomach muscles for the ultimate gigglefest test of endurance.
Last year's winner Mike Brown smashed the standing record, seeing an
incredible 133 shows. With 26 days in the Festival more than five shows a
day. Will he meet his match in 2011? The winner will be announced at the
Barry Awards.
