Join in the fun as Scienceworks celebrates 21 years of science. This 20-minute live, interactive show is packed full of Scienceworks' favourite science demonstrations, including water rockets, slime and liquid nitrogen ice cream.

Balance and spin out - activity
Make your own spinning and balancing toys. Animate your own rocket illusion with a thaumatrope, build a clown to balance on your finger and learn about the science of colours with a spinning colour wheel. Ages 5 and up.

Ball-istic Balloons - activity
Make your own colourful juggling ball in this ten minute activity. Ages 5 and up.
Time: Daily, 12:30pm-2:30pm

Tent o' Tricks - activity
Roll up for some carnival and circus fun. Go round and get loopy with toys that twist and twirl. Have a go at swivelling plates, swirling poi or spinning diablo. Weather permitting.

Carnival of Science - exhibition Explore the science behind the carnival! Navigate the mirror maze and challenge yourself with the strength tester. Like a human cannonball, launch yourself headfirst into the weird and wacky world of the carnival!

Megawatt - exhibition How do we make electricity? How does an electric guitar work? Do animals use electricity? Explore the role of electricity in our everyday lives with 40 interactive exhibits and discover the importance of safety when dealing with electricity.

Bolt from the Blue - Science Show
What is lightning? Where does it come from? From blue jets to red sprites, anvil lightning to bolts from the blue, explore the remarkable properties and mysteries of lightning. Discover this and more in our brand new 30-minute high-voltage show Bolt from the Blue at the Victoria University High Voltage Theatre.
