This year's Sydney Christmas will be bigger and brighter than ever, with light projections, wandering carol singers, musical celebrations and village concerts for the festive season.

Thousands of sparkling lights, 1,900 brightly coloured banners, 28 Christmas trees and spectacular light projections on Sydney Town Hall will spread Christmas spirit across the City Centre and villages.

A series of concerts for the whole family will kick off the celebrations - starting with the annual Children's Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting in Martin Place and Christmas on the Green in Hyde Park on 29 November.
