Workshops for ages 5 to 18 years

Sydney Dance Company school holiday workshops provide a fun and focused environment for young people to improve their dance technique and learn new routines under the direction of professional teachers and choreographers.

Workshops are designed for young dance lovers of all levels of experience.

Students will work with amazing teachers and choreographers, including DANCE ACADEMY and NEIGHBOURS star Josef Brown, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE choreographer Daryl 'D.MO' Morante, and former Broadway pro Leslie Bell.

NEW this season are workshops for the Beginner Dancer from 5 to 16 years and 12-16 years - no dance experience required, just lots of fun moving, building confidence and firing up creativity and imaginations.

Another new workshop is the Dance Music Video for 12-16 years. Create, choreograph and star in your own dance music video. Over three days work with a professional dancer and choreographer to create an original routine, storyboard your shots with a DOP, and then shoot on location at the Sydney Dance Company studios. An edited version of the final video will be shared with you for your private use after the course.

Some other popular styles include Boys Only Hip Hop for 5-11 years and Contemporary and Lyrical for 8-11 years.
