Synopsis: Set against a world of global intrigue from the Vietnam war through the end of the Cold War, SPY GAME is a fictional story of redemption and friendship, mentor and protégé, cat and mouse.

The year is 1991 and veteran CIA officer Nathan Muir (Redford) is a day away from retiring when he learns that his one-time protégé Tom "Boy Scout" Bishop (Pitt) is in deep trouble. Detained in a foreign prison on a charge of espionage, Bishop has gone rogue and is scheduled for execution in 24 hours. Fearing an international incident, the CIA decide it's too great a risk to try and save him.

With a new generation in charge of the agency, the old-school Muir is no longer an insider and must figure out how to unwit the organisation he has served for so many years as he scrambles for details on Bishop's situation.

Muir hand-picked Bishop for the field when the younger man was a sharp-shooter in Vietnam and taught him everything he knew. But a rift divided them long ago. Now racing the clock, Muir recalls in a series of vivid flashbacks experiences they shared all over the world. He puts on his game face for his superiors one last time as he describes recruiting the young rookie, training him in the high stakes game of espionage and meeting the woman who threatened their operation and their friendship.

SPY GAME is an ambitious, complex and location-driven thriller and is tipped to be one of this Summers biggest hit movies!
