SpaceChain adds Blockchain expert Don Tapscott to Advisory Board

SpaceChain, a decentralized space agency that aims to harness the power of the blockchain to increase access to space, has announced that Don Tapscott has joined its Advisory Board, advising SpaceChain on "tokenomics" and overall strategy.

Tapscott, CEO of The Tapscott Group, is one of the world's leading authorities on the impact of technology on business and society. He has authored 16 books, including Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, which has been translated into over 25 languages. In 2016, he co-authored Blockchain Revolution: How The Technology Behind Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies is Changing the World alongside his son, Alex Tapscott. Don is a member of the Order of Canada and Chancellor of Trent University in Ontario.

Tapscott joins current SpaceChain advisors Tim Draper, Jeffrey Manber, Matthew Roszak, and Ryan Xu, and will work closely with co-founders Zuo and Jeff Garzik.

SpaceChain is also a member of Tapscott's Blockchain Research Institute, a global research initiative undertaking the definitive investigation of blockchain strategies, opportunities, and implementation challenges.

Founded in 2017, SpaceChain is building the world's first open-source blockchain-based satellite network, allowing users to develop and run decentralized applications in space. The SpaceChain operating system will be available to anyone, anywhere in the world, all while remaining secure and immutable through proven blockchain cryptography. In doing so, SpaceChain's vision is to remove barriers and allow a global community to access and collaborate in space.
