Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Review
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams, Jude Law, Stephen Fry, Jared Harris
Director: Guy Ritchie
Genre: Action, Adventure, Crime
Rated: M
Running Time: 129 minutes
Synopsis: Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.
Verdict: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows continues on from where the first, Sherlock Holmes film finished. Guy Ritchie is the director, again, which allows the film to have a similar look to the original and provides the ability for the very fast-paced beginning.
Initially we are shown Dr. Watson's wedding and very quickly the film turns into a deadly game between Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson and the famous professor mastermind, Professor Moriarty.
The intense dialogue combined with great slow-motion scenes created action that drew the audience in. The mystery surrounding Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows had me on edge, quite a few times.
Fantastic film from start to finish.
