National Stroke Foundation is hosting Food for Thought with seven of Melbourne's elite chefs cooking a six course degustation menu with matching wines to raise awareness and challenge perceptions of stroke which kills more than 60,000 Australians each year.
In Australia, there is one stroke every 10 minutes. Stroke kills more women than breast cancer, more men than prostate cancer and will affect one in six people. Stroke is a major killer and a leading cause of disability but it remains under-recognised. Stroke does not discriminate. It can affect anyone, at any age, at any time.
