FIVE 'TOGETHER TIME' TIPS FOR PARENTS & BUBS

1. Bed Time - Baby needs consistent routines, even at bedtime. Create a bedtime routine that works for you and baby. A regular sleeping schedule and predictable bedtime activities provide baby with a sense of comfort and security.

2. Bath Time - Why not have a bubble bath. Put some bubbles on your nose. Say, "Look! Nose!" Take some bubbles and put them on your baby's fingers and toes. Say, "Fingers and toes!" You're helping baby learn the names of body parts as you explore language together.

3. Feeding Time - Use baby's spoon or cup and gently tap a pattern while saying, "1, 2, 3". Give the spoon or cup to baby and encourage them to do the same thing. Baby is using eye-hand coordination and understanding how sound patterns develop.

4. Play Time - Sit on the floor a short distance across from your baby. Roll a ball back and forth with them. Praise your baby with clapping, smiles, and encouraging words. This game can help improve baby's hand-eye coordination and boost their self-confidence.

5. Soothing Time - They love the sound of your voice, so use this time to share a favourite story. Be expressive with your face and your voice. This type of interaction nurtures baby's early language development.
