-Tis the season to paint the town red and white! It's time again for wannabe Santas young and old to get set for some seasonal antics and dress as a Claus for a cause for the 2014 annual Variety Santa Fun Run!
This year, masses of Santa Claus' will come to every state in Australia - running, walking, rolling and 'Ho! Ho! Ho-ing!" on their merry way to raise funds for Variety – the Children's Charity and Aussie kids in need.
Sydney's bighearted Santas will hit the pavement on December 7 for the 6th annual Variety Santa Fun Run, starting at Darling Harbour's Palm Grove and meandering five kilometres through the city before finishing in a magnificent mass on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. Along the way, participants can look forward to joyful Christmas themed entertainment including Santa's Reindeers, Bash cars, roving performers, big bands and roaming photographers capturing magic moments along the way. There's even a chance participants might get snapped with some celeb Santas including children's performer, Sam Moran!
A snazzy Santa suit is FREE with every entry to make sure you fit in with the sea of Santas! In fact, the light cotton shorts, top, belt, hat and beard pay homage to a summery Aussie Christmas and ensure a cool and happy-go-lucky group of Santas.
