Run Melbourne
Run Melbourne is a run or walk for charity taking place in Melbourne, at Federation Square, on Sunday June 28th. The Femail team are participating in the 5km walk to raise money for the State Schools Relief Committee Inc. (SSRC) which assists disadvantaged school children in Victoria.
Whilst the Femail.com.au team trains for the event we are asking our friends and readers to sponsor our team and support our charity of choice, State Schools Relief Committee Inc. (SSRC).
State Schools Relief Committee Inc. (SSRC) assists disadvantaged students attending Victorian government primary, special and secondary schools through the provision of new clothing and footwear. Our charity of choice gives every child the opportunity to go to school and wear a uniform and attend excursions Opportunities that everyone deserves although most take for granted.
State Schools Relief Committee Inc. (SSRC) assisted with clothing footwear for almost 8,000 children across Victoria, last year.
Femail.com.au sees the State Schools Relief Committee Inc. (SSRC) as a very worthwhile charity, especially in these times, they just need more help from Australians and to gain more awareness within the community.
Run Melbourne is present by The Age and is for all fitness levels. There are three levels of the event: 5km, 10km or half marathon.
