The Butterfly Club present Really Nice Day
Kitty Day is crazy in love, or rather, CRAZY...and in love. Her dream man has disappeared and all she wants is someone to sympathise with her, and tell her where he is! She needed a friend, so she went out and got one. He's right here...and doing his best to play along. Playing 3 - 6 March 2011 for four shows only, Really Nice Day is Stephen King's Misery meets Silence of the Lambs...with a Doris Day smile!
Starting life as a 15 minute extract about a broken-hearted girl, Really Nice Day could have become a cabaret cliché - if not for the inclusion of some rope, music by The Whitlams, Elvis Costello and Tom Waits...and a dash of 'crazy'. With a buffet of songs from such artists as The Mamas and The Papas, The Kinks, George Michael, Frank Sinatra and more, AND original musical numbers to boot – Really Nice Day is the cabaret that makes it okay to Facebook stalk your exes, and drunk text once in awhile....
