Pride Fair Day and Paws Parade

Dressed-up dogs, drag queens, musical grooves, and family fun – all part of Pride Fair Day at Eumundi Markets this Saturday 27 February.

The Pride Fair Day is a flagship event of the Sunshine Coast Pride Festival and celebrates the Sunshine Coast's diversity by bringing together the LGBTIQ community, and their friends and family, in a fun and supportive environment.  

Pride Committee Chair Marj Blowers says the colourful backdrop of Eumundi Markets is the perfect fit for the Pride Fair Day. 'There's nowhere better for retail therapy, and we love the welcoming inclusive community of artists and stallholders who embrace this event.

Marj says a new addition to the Pride Fair day for 2016 is the PRIDE PAWS PARADE, taking place at 11am on Saturday. 'Dogs and their owners from across the whole Sunshine Coast community are invited to take part in the Pride Paws Parade, and registration is free," she says.

'We have prizes and awards on offer for the Most Glamorous Pride Pooch, Best Pride Parent Look-alike, and Best Rainbow Pride Pooch," Marj says

The winner of each prize category will receive a huge prize pack that includes $100 gift voucher from Pet Stock, a $100 online voucher from vetshopaustralia.com.au, a $50 voucher from Original Eumundi Markets, a $50 voucher from The Medicineroom, as well as NeemPet dog wash products from Naturapetics, spray from Lemon Myrtle Products, engraved dog tags from Coolersrus and a Pride pack.
