Parramasala will showcase dynamic South Asian cinema as part of the vibrant independent film program presented over three days of this year's festival.

From Friday 9 November to Sunday 11 November at Parramatta Riverside Theatres, South Asian Film in Focus features rich filmmaking from nine countries including Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, The Netherlands, Mali, India, Bhutan, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia.

South Asian Film in Focus kicks off with the world premiere of Sunshine and Shade, directed by Australian filmmaker, Ana Tiwary. The documentary explores the myriad issues facing Indian Students in Australia - good and bad, black and white and the many shades of grey. This screening on Friday 9 November is followed by a panel discussion.
