Currently halfway through his national tour, the delightful and exceptionally talented Owen Campbell had every reason to celebrate during his Queensland shows on the weekend.

 

With his gravelly blend of blues, roots, soul and country the belies his 28 years, the singer-songwriter and slide guitar virtuoso's second album, titled 'The Pilgrim" and produced by Mark Opitz, released last Friday and debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Australia Blues Albums Chart, while three tracks hit Top 10 in the Blues Singles Chart, including the lead single, 'Wreckin' Ball", which was released several weeks ago.

 

Australia isn't the only territory where Owen is No. 1.  'The Pilgrim" also topped the Blues Album Chart in New Zealand and Canada.

 

Says Owen, 'I am absolutely blown away and humbled by the chart success, and the support I've received by live audiences during my tour.

 

'Thank you to everyone who's bought -The Pilgrim' and come to see me play.  I hope you enjoy."

 

Owen's debut album, 'Sunshine Road" was released in 2011 and for over twelve months has enjoyed Top 10 status in its genre in numerous territories.
