Opendrawer School Holiday Workshop

The workshops are similar for both groups with the afternoon workshop being extended to challenge and suit the older age group. Adults are welcome to book in to the afternoon workshops. If the session times we are offering don't suit you then make you own group - for a minimum of 4 children we will run a session especially for you. All workshops are limited to 10 children
 
Bubble Painting: Monday September 29th
Using bubble mixture mixed with food colouring we are going to blow wonderful messy paint bubbles on watercolour paper as the basis of our masterpiece. Then we'll use pencils and markers to draw back into these to create art works to go on the wall or to be cut up and used for making cards.
Bring a painting smock or wear old clothes.
 
Felt Pouch / Purse: Tuesday September 30th
Feltmaking and Sewing – make a piece of wet felted fabric in your choice of colour, pattern and texture. We will then cut and hand stitch the felt to make a buttoned purse or pouch, which you can use to hold coins, your phone or ipod.
 
Mandalas made from recycled industrial off cuts: Wednesday October 1st
Mandalas are created by building up patterns to create an artwork. We'll use recycled industrial off cuts as well as buttons, lids, glitter and lots of stuff from our useful box, then we'll glue, staple, and paint to attach our bits and pieces onto heavy card for you to take home
 
Felt Painting with Wool: Thursday October 2nd
Learn to make wet felt and make a beautiful picture to take home and put on your wall. Using the theme of 'spring is sprung" you'll learn how to put lots of colour and texture into your creation.
 
Kids Sewing After School Class
Monday Afternoons from 4 to 5:30pm with Tutor Prue Barridge
Cost: $33 per class.
Pay by the term and get a discount.
Learn all about the sewing machine and basic hand embroidery, through a variety of age appropriate projects

Sit, Stitch, Knit & ......Chat Groups
Meeting Weekly Tuesday, Wednesday from 10.30am-12.30pm & Thursday evening fortnightly from 6.30-9.30pm - cost $5
