TV personality, Natalie Gruzlewski, popular sporting and radio presenter, Ben Fordham, Olympic champion, Eamon Sullivan and musician, Angry Anderson are among the national ambassadors for this year's OCSOBER fundraising campaign for Life Education Australia.
Ocsober challenges Australians to lose the booze during October to urgently raise $1million for Life Education's drug and health education programs in schools. With their popular mascot, Healthy Harold the Giraffe, Life Education undertakes drug and health education programs in over 3000 primary and secondary schools and reaches more than 600,000 children every year, but there are many more children that need access to these programs.
Supporting Ocsober will allow Life Education to reach more children this year; empowering them to make better choices, and lead a healthier and safer life. The key message the charity is promoting this year is to challenge yourself to lose the booze to help Aussie kids. The campaign will highlight the many positive messages associated with Ocsober, from urgently raising funds for Australia's kids, through to the health and lifestyle benefits such as feeling healthier, losing weight and setting a good example for Aussie kids.
Influential support for the campaign has also come from a range of other popular actors and TV personalities including Charlotte Dawson from Australia's Next Top Model, former Cricketer Nathan Bracken, Blake Worrall-Thompson from Eat Yourself Sexy, and Zoe Bingley-Pullin from Good Chef, Bad Chef.
